Warm your new house with a picture of your old one
February 23, 2009
Moving house and buying a new home is one of the most traumatic things you can do, second only to divorce. Having to package up all of your possessions and move to a new house, leaving your old home behind can be really stressful. We tend to form a bond with our homes, seeing them as more than just bricks and mortar. This is why leaving a home behind can be very difficult.
It’s a good idea then to take a memento of your old home, something to remember it by. You can do this by taking a photo of the house from the outside, from its best angle. Then, as a house warming present to yourself for your new home, you can have the photo of your old home printed on canvas and displayed on the wall of your new home. This will form a lasting reminder of your old home, and make the transition to your new home that little bit easier.
If you happen to have lived in a picturesque house, you should be able to make a beautiful canvas print of the home that will look great displayed in your new house.
