Tips for proper care and maintenance of your precious digital canvas prints
Vibrant images and canvas prints are now an integral element of any home or office décor. But they need to be looked after well for them to long last. Following are some useful tips and instructions to ensure that your digital canvas prints remain in good condition for years.
- Digital canvas prints, even those printed on good quality water-resistant canvasses, are typically not one hundred per cent waterproof. They should not be touched with wet hands since the ink may spread.
- Ensure that they are not hung on wet walls. Do not apply liquid/semi-liquid cleaners onto them.
- You should place digital canvas prints ideally in a low-humidity environment. A basement or attic, for example, would not be suitable. The main working or living areas of most offices and homes would be fine.
- Avoid placing your canvas prints in direct sunlight.
- The area where you keep your canvas prints should not be exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations. Avoid placing them near or in close contact with a heat source like a fireplace or radiator.
- Do not touch the canvas with your hands. The surface may get sticky or oily.
