Let it snow on canvas
December 2, 2008
Today saw snow fall in many parts of the UK, which meant great difficulty getting to work for many people, with iced up cars, slippery roads and slow moving traffic. It also meant that if you could, you should stay in doors and wrap up warm for winter is well and truly with us, and Christmas is just around the corner.
In addition to this, with bad weather, icy conditions and hazardous roads, today was also very picturesque (assuming you didn’t have to go out in it). For the budding photographer, snowy conditions like today mark the perfect opportunity to get some truly beautiful pictures of winter landscapes, snow covered streets and idyllic countryside. These types of photos make for excellent Christmas cards, beautiful photos, and of course great canvas prints.
Taking pictures of winter scenes, having them printed on canvas and giving them as gifts is an excellent way of providing a custom gift for your friends and family. You can create beautiful artwork from the pictures that a day like today provide you with, assuming you can hold your camera steady in the bitterly cold weather!
