It’s snowing, the perfect time to take photos
February 2, 2009
This morning the country woke to find most of the roads covered in a white blanket of snow, and for many that spelt disruption. It meant people couldn’t get to work, children couldn’t get to school (terrible hardship!) and the roads were at a standstill. Trains and busses were completely halted as London, the nation’s capital, came to a sudden halt.
All of this disruption did come with a bright side though, the countryside and towns looked great covered in white snow, so good in fact they looked like the subject of a postcard, Christmas card or beautiful portrait.
With this in mind, today was the day to be out and about with your camera. If you ventured out in the cold today you would have been able to get some great photos of the beautiful scenery, pictures of the land covered in snow. These pictures would make excellent Christmas cards themselves, or they’d also make great pictures printed on canvas. You could take any photo printed today and turn it into a spectacular canvas print to display on your wall, a canvas print that when you see it will always remind you of the beautiful winter (albeit a much warmer one when you’re inside looking at a picture on the wall).
