Pictures of animals printed on canvas

Filed under: Canvas Prints — Gareth @ 9:04 am

As the UK is a nation of animal lovers, it’s only natural that we, as a nation, like to spend a lot of money on our pets. Whether that be on treats for our pets, care for them, or on photos of them to show how much we love them.

There are about 6 million dogs in the UK and 9 million cats, which means that there are even more photos of cats and dogs adorning the walls, sideboards and photo albums of UK homes. With so many pictures of pets, what are the best ways to display those pictures so that they stand out from the others?

You could frame them and have them displayed on the wall, or you could even have them turned into art and have them printed on canvas. What better way to display a photograph of your favourite pet, the family dog or the resident tabby, than by having it printed on canvas and turned into a masterpiece of art?

Pictures of your pets always look good, and they’re always ready to pose for them, so by turning them into canvas prints and making artwork out of them you’re ensuring that they always look the best they can be.

I can’t paint; can I still create canvas art?

Filed under: Advice, Canvas Prints — Jack @ 11:55 am

It’s a common question among people who are interested in art, but don’t have the artistic ability or flair to create their own art. It can be frustrating too. You love art, you know what you want, but sitting down with a canvas and some paints never seems to create the results that you’re after.

It’s the archetypal, clichéd artist. You’re never satisfied with your work.

It doesn’t have to be this way though, as you don’t need to be able to paint a stroke in order to create your canvas art. You can instead create unique, original canvas work simply by using your own photographs, ones that you have taken yourself with your own digital or film camera, and have them printed on canvas.

By printing your own photos to canvas you’re creating your own canvas art without needing to be an artist, or suffer the frustration of artist’s block. When you’re photos are printed they are turned into canvas masterpieces very quickly by the unique canvas printing technology, and the printer never suffers artist’s block!

It doesn’t matter if you can’t paint. You can create your own art printed on canvas anyway.

A new way to add colour to your home

Filed under: Canvas Prints — Gareth @ 8:31 pm

It’s official that we’re now in the midst of a recession, meaning that money is tight for everyone. This means that it’s difficult for those that wish to make changes to the décor in their home, which we all like to do from time to time. Generally we get bored when a room begins to look tired, and where possible we want to freshen it up by painting the walls, changing the carpet, wallpapering or maybe even swapping the furniture.

However this can be very expensive. Carpets, decorators and new furniture can costs hundreds of pounds, and depending on your personal taste, can cost thousands at times. It would be better if you could redecorate your home without having to spend quite so much, and without having to go to the extremes of changing your entire room around.

Luckily there is an option whereby you can freshen up the look of your room without the great expense or redecorating. Simply adding pictures, large canvas prints, to your walls can change the way they look quickly and easily. Pictures printed on canvas are unique painting style pictures made from your photographs, and when added to your wall, displayed in your home, can change the way your room looks with little expense.

Canvas is a medium for everyone

Filed under: Canvas Prints — Jack @ 9:11 am

You might associate canvas as a medium for artists, shut away in their studios crafting works of art to sell for millions, or sitting on the bank of a beautiful river painting the scene before them. Traditionally this is true, canvas is predominantly associated with artists, but these days canvas as a medium can be used by anyone to print their photographs onto.

By printing photos to canvas you’re able to create works of art without any artistic ability or know how. In fact, you don’t ever need to pick up a paintbrush. All you need is a camera and something to take a picture of. Most people can lay their hands on that. The best part is, when you take a photo and have it printed on canvas, it can look as good as any artist’s work.

The canvas material lends that special something to the print as the texture makes the print come alive. Creating canvas prints from your photos is also much cheaper than investing in art, or commissioning an artist to craft a masterpiece for your home.

This way, anyone can create art with a camera.

What photos make the best canvas prints?

Filed under: Canvas Prints — Charlie @ 10:54 am

If you’ve decided that you’d like to have one of your photographs printed on canvas, your next step is to decide what photo you’d like. Canvas is a much better material to print photographs onto, as it lasts for years without fading or losing colour. Photos printed on photographic paper can fade in a much shorter time, causing those precious memories to fade away as well.

But what pictures should you print on canvas? There are many different types of photos you could print, but some ideas for photos that would look great printed on canvas are:

Holiday photos
Pictures from your holidays always look great, whether they’re of sun kissed beaches or winter ski slopes. The scenery on offer makes for a great canvas print that looks just like a piece of artwork.

Pictures of your family
You don’t have to be royalty to have portraits of your family printed on canvas and displayed in your home. A canvas print of your grandmother would add a hint of that regal nature to your home, whether your grandmother happens to be the Queen Mother or not!

Pets
Who loves their pets? We all do of course, and our pets are always ready and willing to pose for photos. Having pictures of the family dog or the tame moggy printed on canvas will add a touch of character to your walls.

There are just a few suggestions for pictures to print on canvas, you can of course pick any photos from your collection.

Do I need to use a digital camera to print photos to canvas?

Filed under: Canvas Prints — Gareth @ 11:23 am

With digital pictures being so easy to distribute and print, you might think that you need a digital camera in order to have your photos printed on canvas. This isn’t actually true, you can have any photo printed onto canvas, even one that you don’t have the negatives for.

Yes digital cameras are great, and when you take a picture with a digital camera you’re able to save it to your computer and manipulate the image to remove any blemishes. You can distribute the photos easily using email, photo sharing websites or simply by putting them onto CD or SD card. There are so many ways to get your photos to friends, family and printers.

However, don’t dismiss the potential of the conventional 35mm camera. The medium isn’t quite dead yet, and if you have your photos printed on photo paper they can still be scanned and printed on canvas to make beautiful canvas prints, easily and quickly. Furthermore, by scanning the pictures into a computer you’re able to make any alterations that may be required, meaning that you can remove red-eye, change the composition or just alter the colours so that your canvas print is as good as it can be.

Better ways to display your holiday photos

Filed under: Canvas Prints — Charlie @ 11:07 am

We all love to take photos on holiday. Coming back with some great holiday snaps is as important as a postcard, something tacky for the TV or bathroom, and some duty free to reminisce about the holiday. You need photos to remind you of what a great time you had, because as the memory fades, the pictures don’t.

However that’s not quite true, because photos printed on paper do fade after time. They lose their colour, their brightness and become dull. Unless of course they’re printed on canvas. Photos to canvas don’t fade as quickly as photos on paper, retaining their glorious beauty for longer. This ensures that as your memory of the event fades and blurs a little, your canvas prints of the holiday don’t!

In addition to the canvas photos lasting longer than printed photos, they also look much better when displayed. Your holiday photos are typically stored in albums, hidden away in the drawer, or at best they’re framed and hung on the wall. Canvas prints are imposing pieces of art that dominate the room, ensuring that everyone can see and enjoy them, jogging your memory of a great time whenever you’re in the room.

From Facebook to canvas

Filed under: Canvas Prints — Jack @ 10:02 am

Facebook has become the biggest online social network since it eclipsed MySpace, and features millions of people from all over the world sharing their experiences online. One of the things Facebook does extremely well is share photographs, as it has become larger that Flickr for uploading photos, having several times the pictures, in the high billions.

If anyone has a photo to share, they tend to use Facebook to do it. However while sharing pictures online may be a great way to share photos, pictures are meant to be printed and enjoyed, rather than stored away on digital cameras, computers or websites.

With this in mind you can easily save any photos from your family and friends on Facebook and have them printed on canvas to make artwork. The beauty with this is that you don’t need to have a photo sent to you from your cousin in California or your brother in Bulgaria, if they’re on Facebook you can save them and print them, creating artwork for your home with your own family and friends in it, without them even needing to be there.

Use Facebook to create your own canvas art and print its photos to canvas.
