Be the subject of your own pop art masterpiece
September 21, 2008
The Girl With a Pearl Earring is currently a successful play in London’s West End, based on the film and novel of the same name. The play is about a servant girl who becomes an artist’s muse, and the subject of his paintings. Everyone would love to be the subject of an artist’s work, but you don’t need to work for an artist to do that. Nor do you need to be an icon of the twentieth century, such as Elvis Presley or Marilyn Monroe were when they become the subject of Andy Warhol’s work.
In fact you can become the subject of your own pop art masterpiece by simply having your own photographs turned into a pop art style and printed on canvas. Any photos that you have of yourself or your family can be scanned into a computer and edited so they have a pop art style to them, reducing the colours to basic tones by a team of artists. The pictures are turned into pop art by skilled artists, in the style of Andy Warhol of himself.
Then they are printed on canvas, creating a unique and customised work of art that you can call your own and impress your friends and family with. How many of your friends do you know that are the subjects of their own art?
You’re sure to be the talking point with your own canvas prints displaying yourself in a pop art work of art.
